Belvoir Pet Hospital was built as a veterinary clinic in 1938 by Dr. David Elsasser. He and his family lived on the second floor of the hospital and raised their three daughters there.
Marty and Joe Farkas purchased Belvoir Pet Hospital in the late 1960’s, and their son, Butch, joined them in practice in 1998. Marty passed away in 2004 and Joe continued practicing with Butch until his retirement in 2010. We are proud to be an independently owned and operated veterinary practice.
Belvoir Pet Hospital’s team has grown and changed over the years. The one constant has been the foundation of an original family practice with the addition of other doctors and staff that have deepened the sense of quality and tradition. We deeply value serving our clientele, and in some families we have cared for several generations of clients and their beloved pets.
